University of Texas’ College of Natural Sciences reached out to have me document their exceptional interactive and educational dining experience last month. “Mad scientist” Dr. David Laude, dean of the College of Natural Sciences, and “culinary wizard” Josh Watkins, executive chef of The Carillon Restaurant, team up to provide culinary delights and chemical reactions.
Two years ago, Miles was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disorder that prevents his pancreas from creating enough insulin.
He needs the right amount of insulin delivered to his body everyday, for the rest of his life, and still faces many risks.
There are promising prevention therapies and better technologies for treatment being developed by medical science.
Miles and his family and friends will be walking to support research for type 1 diabetes on October 30, 2011.

The Leica M9 is a beautiful accomplishment that honors the legacy of the Leica name, while advancing to the world’s first full-frame digital rangefinder.
Paired with the Leica Summilux 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens, it’s a combination that I can’t put down.

The client had me document the springtime blooming in their award winning gardens. This was the most peaceful project I’ve shot to date.
On May 1, activists around the country marched, pushing for immigration reform and protesting the recent controversial Arizona immigration law, SB 1070. In Austin thousands gathered at the Capitol steps and marched to City Hall.
National boutique retailer, Francesca’s Collection, continues to rely on Brett for fresh and engaging product images and fashion shoots. A sample of images will be added to the commercial portfolio shortly.
A group exhibit consisting of 15 photographers from 8 different countries will be on display at printspace in London this March. Images from the Beyond The Reach project by Brett will be included.
